As discussed on this week's Geekly Roundup Podcast, Marvel's first Netflix Original series, Daredevil, is looking better and better. The series is taking the Marvel universe to a dark place, deep in the heart of Hell's Kitchen, where Charlie Cox's Matt Mudock will do battle with a terrifying Vincent D'Onofrio as the Kingpin. Looking at the trailer, it looks like the series is hitting all the right notes - we can see Stick training Daredevil, the Kingpin getting his hands dirty, flashbacks to Matt's past and his father, and tons of religious iconography. The series looks to be very, very serious, with only one wink to the audience in the entire trailer, which is exactly how Daredevil should be treated. The most incredible thing to me is how the film looks like it was drawn by Frank Miller - every piece of it has that same grime to it that made his art so famous. Look for the full series to hit Netflix on April 10th, 2015.
