Two More Characters from The Force Awakens Revealed!

Vanity Fair was granted access to the set of The Force Awakens last year, and they've finally gotten the green light to publish the incredible behind-the-scenes photo shoot they did while they were there. In addition to revealing new worlds to discover, the photoshoot also revealed who, exactly, Adam Driver and Lupita Nyong'o would be playing. Spoilers ahead!

In our first picture, we can see Adam Driver, of Girls and While We're Young, leading Snowtroopers across a frozen plain - we'd say Hoth, but we all thought Jaku was going to be Tatooine, so who knows? Driver is clearly wearing the Kylo Ren costume we saw at Celebration, and he's confirmed to be playing the baddie in the captions on the Vanity Fair article.

Next, Lupita Nyong'o, who is seen here getting her face covered in the dots necessary for performance capture. That's right - Nyong'o will be playing an entirely CG creation for the new film. While that might strike fear into the hearts of those with memories of Jar Jar, keep in mind that Andy Serkis was on hand to help with the performance capture aspects. She's playing a character called Maz Kanata, who is a pirate with some kind of castle - filled with the assorted rogues you can see below.
