SDCC Day Two News Roundup!

Hey kids! Friendly neighborhood editor-in-chief Mike here. It's Saturday of San Diego Comic-Con 2014, which is when all the big news happens. Can't be there in person? Don't worry, that's what we're here for. Let's run down everything awesome that happened today:

FIRST LOOK AT WONDER WOMAN!

While you may not have the highest hopes for Batman v Superman after Man of Steel, we're all excited that Wonder Woman is finally, finally getting her much anticipated screen debut. There she is above, in all of her amazonian armored glory. Personally, I like what they did with the suit - it looks like the original costume, but with the Kingdom Come-style fantasy twist. Time will tell if this will be the Wonder Woman everyone's been waiting for, but this costume is pretty sweet.

MOTHRA AND RODAN IN GODZILLA 2!

(Note: Above image is from an older Godzilla movie, not Comic-con)

During today's panel for Legendary Pictures, Godzilla director Gareth Edwards took a break from the mysterious Star Wars movie he's working on (*cough*BobaFett*cough*) to fill us in a little on the sequel to Godzilla. Details were scarce, but one big detail was confirmed - the very happy audience saw the silhouettes of Godzilla's biggest allies and antagonists (depending on the movie), Mothra and Rodan! The Godzilla fanboy in me is ecstatic.

MARVEL ANNOUNCES THREE NEW STAR WARS COMICS!

Marvel Comics was unsurprisingly given the Star Wars comics license fairly soon after their parent company, Disney, purchased the rights to Star Wars. There was a lot of speculation about what they might do with those rights, and now we know - they'll be launching two ongoing series and a mini-series next January. All three series will take place in between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes back, which is an odd place to expect an ongoing series to take place, but you never know. The ongoings are Star Wars and Star Wars: Darth Vader, and the miniseries will be Star Wars: Princess Leia

THE VISION REVEALED!

We've known for months now that the second Avengers film, Avengers: Age of Ultron, will feature the android Vision. Other than the fact that he's played by Paul Bettany, we haven't learned any details. Now we know a little more - he'll be sporting his trademark yellow cape. Check out the above piece of Avengers concept art being handed out at Comic-con for your first glimpse, and check out the full poster below for your new desktop wallpaper.
