First Trailer for New, "Adult" Muppet Show!

They're back! They're back! The Muppets are back on TV! Everybody flail!

Ok, now that we've gotten that out of the way, here's the deal: As we previously reported, the Muppets are going to be making a return to prime time TV this fall with a more "adult" oriented series. This does not, thankfully, mean they're going full Avenue Q. Based on the trailer below, what it does mean is that the Muppets will be making a Parks and Req/The Office style comedy about the behind the scenes drama that goes into making The Muppet Show. This could be fantastic. It could be really awkward. Thankfully, the trailer is on point, capturing all the characters in a way that doesn't feel at all out of place. Check it out after the jump, and let us know what you think!

Assassin's Creed Syndicate trailer debuts!

We finally have it! The unveiling of the new Assassin's Creed game... SYNDICATE!

Many people know I've been a long time fan of Assassin's Creed (even through the rough... faceless... times). Among the AC fandom is constant speculation of the newest world they will tackle. For many, many years I've been begging and pleading for some Industrial Revolution crime syndicate flavor, and the Assassins have heard me! Hit the jump for the trailers and some more details!

Episode 147: Celebrate Star Wars!

Picture
This week, Kevin Custer joins Mike and Jarys to break down Star Wars Celebration! We'll discuss the new Jurassic World trailer, and then go straight into what we saw at the convention, including Rogue One, a breakdown of the brand new Force Awakens trailer, whether Palpatine is pure evil or has more depth than that, and end with a spirited debate on whether Jar Jar Binks is responsible for the destruction of the Second Death Star!

Star Wars Celebration Day 4: Rogue One Awakens

The final day of Star Wars Celebration was short, but booooy was it sweet. We learned more than we ever thought we would about the first Star Wars Anthology film, Rogue One, we saw the props from The Force Awakens, and we learned about next year's Celebration for the first time. Spoilers abound from this point on.

Jurassic World Reveals its Mega-Dinosaur in New Trailer!

This weekend has been insane for new trailers. First, The Force Awakens knocked our socks off. Then, Batman vs Superman disappointed us and Fantastic Four intrigued us. Now, Jurassic World is trying to take some of our hard earned money, and they may just succeed. Check out the new trailer for Jurassic World right after the jump.

First Batman v Superman trailer is Miller as Hell

Batman is a hulking, brooding figure straight out of a Frank Miller drawing, everyone hates Superman, and we end on a scene that sounds like the dialogue was plotted by the script writer of Predator. Yup, must be time for DC to make another movie.

Star Wars Celebration Day Zero - From Despair to Joy

Day Zero - 11pm.

I've just gotten out of a far-too-expensive cab ride, and checked into my hotel. I received a text message while one the flight - one of my friends was incredible enough to head down to the line at 9pm, two hours ago, to get us a spot in the room for the Celebration Opening Ceremonies. So I grab my camera, ask the front desk for directions, and start walking.

Almost immediately outside my hotel, I run into two guys dressed as Jedi. And I know this is going to be good.

Second trailer for The Force Awakens is INCREDIBLE

Today is a great day. Everything is wonderful, the sun on shining, birds are singing, and I didn't get any sleep last night because I was laying on concrete for thirteen hours, waiting for the chance to see the Star Wars Celebration Opening Ceremonies. A full report on that in a few minutes, but for now, a present for you all.

This is the second, incredible trailer for the Force Awakens. It had me bawling from happiness by the end of the first thirty seconds. Do NOT miss it - hit the jump to see why.

Second Trailer for Ant Man Brings the Tiny, Tiny Pain

Marvel's next Big Gamble's second trailer hit the internet this morning. Ant Man, let's be honest, has never been a big player in the Marvel Universe. Despite all the major storylines Hank Pym has been a part of - helping found the Avengers, creating Ultron - he's always relegated to one side while Iron Man, Captain America and Thor get all the credit. Will this movie change all that, and make Ant Man into a star? That remains to be seen. The trailers have both been a bit concerning. Hit the jump to see the trailer and our analysis.

Adam Jensen Must Choose a Side in First Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Trailer

First, there was the AR Game.

Then, the Russian Leak.

Now, we finally have the full reveal of the next Deus Ex game: Mankind Divided. The trailer shows Adam Jensen, hero of Human Revolution, alternatively aiding and fighting an oppressed class of augmented humans, some of whom have turned to terrorism to solve their situations. Does this mean the game will have you make the same choice, or will the story follow a linear path? Hopefully, as a Deus Ex game, it will live up to the choices you're meant to be able to make, both in style of play and in character.

And hopefully, they won't outsource the boss fights this time.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation Teaser Trailer Teaser!

That's not a typo...this is a teaser trailer for a teaser trailer. Just so we're clear - not a full trailer.

And given the fact that this badass thing would be totally acceptable as a full trailer, begs the question: What in the heck is the actual trailer going to look like? Hit the jump to see Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, and Jeremy Renner back in action one more time.

New Avengers Trailer: Hear Quicksilver Speak!

Marvel has released a third - and way more "fun" - trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Mostly designed to introduce you to all of the characters (except Vision), this is a more action packed trailer than we've seen before, and while Tony is still kind of the focus, every character gets a beat, including Quicksilver. Spoilers ahead, but hit the jump to see the full thing.

Finally, The Intense Story Trailer for Daredevil is Here

As discussed on this week's Geekly Roundup Podcast, Marvel's first Netflix Original series, Daredevil, is looking better and better. The series is taking the Marvel universe to a dark place, deep in the heart of Hell's Kitchen, where Charlie Cox's Matt Mudock will do battle with a terrifying Vincent D'Onofrio as the Kingpin. Hit the jump to see the full trailer.

Tomorrowland Trailer 2!

A tiny, tiny bit of the veil has been raised, and we finally know a little bit more about Disney and Brad Bird's Tomorrowland. In this second trailer, see some crazy new effects, more of the story of why Britt Robertson's character is hunting for the mysterious city, and perhaps most shocking of all, Hugh Laurie without stubble. It's been so long, I thought I was watching Black Adder again. Check out the new trailer for Tomorrowland after the jump.

Season 5 My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic date announced! And a teaser!

Bronies, pegasisters, and pony fans celebrate!  The Season 5 premiere date of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has FINALLY been announced today.  Mark your calendars for April 4th, 2015 for a whole hour in the morning, according to the press release by PRNewswire.  That's right - two back to back episodes to kick off the new season!

In the release, PRNewswire says:
Pony fans, rejoice! An all-new season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the beloved series created by Hasbro Studios, debuts on Discovery Family April 4, with two back-to-back premiere episodes at 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Packed with new adventures, characters and self-discovery, Season 5 kicks off with a very special one-hour premiere, as our favorite ponies continue to explore the true magic of friendship only possible in Equestria.
and...
In the Season 5 premiere of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the Mane 6: Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity and Applejack meet Starlight Glimmer when they are summoned to solve a friendship problem only to find a utopian village in which everyone has given up their Cutie Marks. At first look, the ponies in this village appear happy, but it soon becomes clear that Starlight Glimmer has a vastly different and rather sinister view on friendship and the individual talents that make Equestria's ponies so special. The season is full of Cutie Mark Magic!
From Equestria Daily, who has the whole release posted.

I....I think it's a metaphor.

In an exclusive video by Entertainment Weekly, we also get a sneak peek of what's in store!  In this short teaser, we'll get some commentary from Brian Lenard (Executive Director, Hasbro Studios) and Meghan McCarthy (Co-Executive Producer) about this new "villain", Starlight Glimmer, as well as the return of an old villain from a previous incarnation of the show for the 100th episode!

From Entertainment Weekly

So what do you think pony pals?  Will this season live up to the hype, or will it fall flat on its face?!  What are your thoughts on Starlight Glimmer?  And how about that old baddie?!

Personally, I'm thinking it'll live up to the hype.  Some new villains, some reoccurring villains, and some villains who have possibly been reformed?  And what is Twilight gonna do with her new digs in Ponyville?  And why was Pinkie Pie sporting one of those giant equal sign cutie marks?! We'll just have to wait and see on April 4th on the Discovery Family Channel.

Age of Ultron, Trailer 3!

Prepare your fangasms, kids. The third trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron is here, and it reveals more of the film than ever before. (So, if you want to go in spoiler free, probably avoid this one.) Check out new footage of the Avengers disassembling as the robot Ultron tears them apart from the inside, after the jump.

Trailer for "Mr. Holmes" starring Ian McKellan

Straight from Sir Ian McKellan's FB page, the trailer for "Mr. Holmes" gives us a brief look at what the aging detective is up to now. Directed by Bill Conda, it's based on the 2005 novel "A Slight Trick of Mind" by Mitch Cullen. Miramax has the distribution rights. The cast includes Laura Linney as the housekeeper Mrs. Munro, and Milo Parker as her son Roger.

In 1947, having just returned from Japan and seen the horrors of war for himself, Sherlock Holmes retires to his bee farm. As he reflects back on his life, he deals with unresolved issues and tries to come to terms with his own aging and the slow loss of his brilliant mind. He becomes increasingly reliant on his housekeeper's young son for help solving the case that led him to retire from detective work altogether, and forges a friendship with the boy along the way.

The film looks like a really interesting new take on an old mythos, and we can't wait to see McKellan as an older, cantankerous Holmes.

First Trailer for Community Season Six!

We never thought we'd get here, but here we are. The first trailer for Season Six of Community (#sixseasonsandamovie...come on, #sixseasonsandamovie!) has hit the internet, in advance of their March 17th premiere. The gang is together, mostly- Donald Glover, Yvette Nicole Brown and Chevy Chase have all left for one reason or another over the past three seasons - and still dealing with attempting to save Greendale from it's own destruction. They're joined by brand new castmembers Paget Brewster (who seems like she might be evil) and Keith David (who seems like he might be Keith David.) Check out the trailer below the jump!

In the First Trailer for Crimson Peak, Guillermo Del Toro is Ready to Scare Us Again.

We've all been salivating at the mouth for Guillermo Del Toro's Crimson Peak - his first stab at Gothic Horror, a genre anyone who's seen a Del Toro movie could tell you he was born for. And now the first trailer is released, and it looks like it's going to scare the ever loving pants off of us. What I particularly love is the feel of creeping horror throughout the whole piece - Del Toro isn't going to rely on jump scares, and it shows. Starring Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Hunnam, check out the first trailer for Crimson Peak after the jump.

Agents of Shield Mid-season Return Trailer - What Have They Become?

The only reason to be excited about the end of the excellent Agent Carter is that it means the return of the suddenly-good Agents of Shield. After a year of floundering while waiting for Captain America 2 to kick-start their show, Agents of Shield got very good, very quickly. They left us on a hell of a cliffhanger at the end of this season, and now we've got a trailer on what's coming up. Hit the jump to take a look.
